Performance and Capacity: What to Expect
When selecting a system, the most critical metric is GPD (Gallons Per Day). This indicates how much purified water the membrane can produce in a 24-hour cycle.
Standard Residential Systems: Typically rated at 50 to 75 GPD. This is more than enough for a family of 4-6 for drinking and cooking.
High-Output Systems: Rated at 90 to 100+ GPD. These are ideal for larger households or systems connected to a refrigerator ice maker, ensuring the storage tank refills rapidly.
Water Pressure Factor: Most systems require at least 40 PSI to function correctly. If your home has low pressure, we can install a permeate pump to boost efficiency and reduce wastewater.
